Professional Diagnosis
Pool Lighting Requires Careful Diagnosis
A dark, flickering or water-filled fixture can involve the lamp or LED assembly, gasket, fixture, transformer, controls, conduit or junction-box connection. The correct repair depends on the light type and the condition of the installation.
If a pool-light circuit trips a GFCI or breaker, or if a light flickers unexpectedly, keep swimmers out and leave the circuit off until it has been evaluated.
Fixture and LED Replacement
Replacement requires the correct voltage, cord length, niche compatibility and control method. Color-changing fixtures also need compatible switching or automation to operate as intended.
Water Intrusion
A hardened gasket, damaged fixture or conduit problem can allow water where it does not belong. Replacing only a lamp without addressing the source of water intrusion may not solve the problem.
Electrical Scope
Pool-light work is evaluated within the scope of Spectrum Pool Care’s licensing. Work requiring a different electrical license is referred to an appropriately licensed electrical contractor.
